Description
Many Jazzmaster, Jaguar, and Mustang guitars with traditional “rocking” bridges have encountered issues such as limited sustain, strings slipping from the saddles and tuning instability during vibrato use. These problems are often caused by the amount of movement between the bridge post and the oversized anchor holes – something that was always inherent of the original design. The Hosco fixing bushes solve this by attaching easily to the bridge feet with a simple push-in fit – no modification to the original body is required. By increasing the diameter of the bridge feet, the rocking motion is limited within the anchor posts, significantly improving tuning stability when using the vibrato arm.
Depending on the specific bridge model or the alignment of the pickguard, a minor adjustment may be needed — such as lightly sanding the edge of the bushing or cutting a small slit to slightly enlarge the fit. The bushings are made from POM (Polyoxymethylene), a durable engineering plastic known for its strength, low friction, and excellent stability. It’s easy to work with using basic tools, making any required fitting adjustments quick and hassle-free.
