Description

The piece “Scherzando para Mano sinistra” was written at the request of guitarist Nicola Yasmin Stock, for her recording project with pieces written only for the left hand. I composed the piece, as the title suggests, with a Scherzando character, because doing everything with only the left hand can have an almost humorous aspect. I used, as usual, odd 5/8 rhythms varying 2+3, 3+2, also using hemiolas and a modal-chromatic language.
