Pirastro’s Chorda strings are authentic strings for baroque instruments. They have a low string tension for a comfortable left hand feeling.

The metal wound strings which we use today did not start to be developed until the middle of the 17^th century, at the time of Stradivarius. To offer you this authentic stringing at today’s high quality Pirastro have reconstructed these developments and incorporated them into their gamba string program.
