Description

A swinging pop cantata for narrator, unison voices with optional divisions, piano and guitar chord symbols. When performed as a cantata the chorus can sing throughout, with or without division into solo, main chorus and semi-chorus effects.

As a stage work, the chorus can be placed at the sides, whilst centre stage are the chorus of six hens, the main characters with solos (Chanticleer, Pertelote, and Mr Fox), plus the Narrator. Entrances, exits and all the basic action are implicit in the lyrics and narration.
