Seymour Duncan, Joe Bonamassa, The Bludgeon, Custom Shop 1951 Nocaster Set

Joe Bonamassa’s guitar collection, renowned for its exceptional instruments, includes “The Bludgeon,” a 1951 Fender Nocaster® that he regards as the best guitar he has ever owned. Acquired in 2014, Joe has used it in nearly every performance since.

The Seymour Duncan Custom Shop replicated its warm PAF neck humbucker using a rough cast Alnico 2 magnet and preserved the worn original tele bridge pickup’s Alnico 2 magnets. They successfully emulated the bridge pickup’s bright response and robust output, which Joe particularly values when paired with the neck humbucker.
