Description

In the course of developing this “piano meditation”, several elements played a particularly stimulating vole. First of all, I would say, there was the tenacity of the dedicatee, without whom the thought of an incursion in to the repertoire of this instrument, so laden with history, would have made me beat a hasty retreat.
And then, there ancre two piano pieces, two works which accompanied me throughout this whole period: tire third cuaderno of Isaac Albeniz’s Iberia, and Béla Bartok’s Out of Doors: two protecting references due to the richness of evocations to which they can give rise: and, also, the highly specific way in which they make us attuned to fragmentary, splintered melodies…
While on this subject, I should also bring up the manner which they enrich an harmonic space with refined, perfectly judicious “interlockings”.
May these surges, jerks and angles of flow transmit, in their own way, a bit of all that. As for the rest, I’II leave it up to Dominique My’s enthusiasm and know-how.
