The Kluson Supreme series tuners have an 18:1 gear ratio in the traditional stamped steel housing. This particular set is designed for instruments using a 6 in line (not plate mounted) tuner set and for the first time from Kluson, a supreme gear ratio for a true upgrade to original tuners. The housing bears the series name SUPREME in place of the original DELUXE moniker but this is the only hint to what lies hidden under the dust cover. Using all vintage specs these tuners will drop right into your instrument using the vintage 6 in line individual tuners with no modifications other than getting used to real smooth and reliable performance that outshines the rest in it’s class. This set comes complete with 6 bass side tuners, 8.8mm O.D. vintage bushings with 1/4 inch I.D. (part#MB65N US) and mounting screws (TMSC) needed for installation.

The original Kluson tuning machines are based on a 12:1 gear ratio. In the 1990’s following the acquisition by WD Music Products, Inc. they were upgraded to a 15:1 gear ratio. Still there was a demand for an even higher gear ratio. In response, we have taken the original stamped steel design and added an 18:1 gear ratio for more tuning stability than ever before. This design bears the name “Kluson® Supreme” in double row format as the only visual difference from the original stamped steel machines.

Post heights measured from baseplate to bottom depth of Safe-Ti-post slot

Uses Kluson Bushings MB65N US (Nickel) or MB65G US (Gold)

Outside diameter of bushing = 8.85mm

Inside diameter = 1/4 inch or 6.48mm
