Description

This soprano recorder is made of stained European boxwood and is modelled after originals by Bressan. It is a handmade instrument by Japanese recorder maker Hiroyuki Takeyama.

This recorder is a stunning instrument with a rich, colourful tone. It is well suited to playing a variety of styles/periods and therefore is a great choice for a player wanting a high quality modern pitch descant. In terms of playing, it really excels with an open playing style.

The sound this recorder produces is strong and full, yet is not at all harsh. It has a sweet, rich quality which is very interesting to listen to. The depth of tone gives weight to solo performances – perfect for playing Van Eyck or csakan repertoire!
