Description
Each exercise is designed to deal with a specific difficulty. The exercises in sections on and two should be practised in conjunction with scales and arpeggios. They are restricted only to those notes occuring in eachh scale and arpeggio, and are designed to help to develop some degree of facility and the “feeling” of a key.
Speed indications are not given in the scale and arpeggio exercises, as this varies according to the ability of the player, but obviously the attainment of a reasonable speed of execution is desirable.
- Section 1: Scale and argpeggios exercises: Major keys
- Section 2: Scale and argpeggios exercises: Minor keys
- A few suggested methods of practising scales and arpeggios. Theses may be applied to all keys, major and minor.
- Six Tonguing Exercises
