This TUSQ nut fits most American-made and import Strat and Tele style guitars. Features a spacer on the underside for flat nut slot channels or simply sand out the spacer for any neck that has a curved nut slot. The string slots are pre-cut to a 9.5″ radius. Graph Tech recommend filing the middle string slots a tiny bit deeper to accommodate necks that have a flatter fingerboard radius, such as 12″. We recommend taking the nut and neck to a qualified guitar luthier who can carry this work out for you if you are unsure about modifying the nut.
Tusq is a man-made ivory substitute from Graphtech that has the off-white appearance of ivory but with many improvements. A lot easier to file and polish than bone, superior sound over Micarta and Corian.
