Featuring long stems with riveted ears, fine gear action and reverse wind operation just like the pre-CBS originals, these Gotoh vintage bass machine heads will retrofit most original and reissue Fender bass instruments. Comes complete with push-fit bushings and mounting screws. 26:1 gear ratio. Also sold by Fender under the part code 004-1363-000, we import these directly from Gotoh in Japan and, unlike all of the other machine heads that Gotoh supply to us, these tuners don’t come in any pre-packaged Gotoh box.

Please note that being 100% vintage correct, these tuners have two small lugs that protrude from the rear of the mounting plate that can cause the tuner to not sit flat against the headstock, just like you would find on an original Fender bass. In 1964 Fender started to put small recesses in the back of the headstock so that the tuners would sit flush on the bass. We recommend undertaking a similar procedure when fitting these bass tuners to your headstock if your bass doesn’t already have the recesses.
